Serenity Nutrition, LLC follows the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Health information that identifies you, called protected health information, is used and shared only as HIPAA allows: to provide your care, to handle payment, to run our practice, or with your written permission.

Clients receive our Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains in detail how your protected health information may be used and shared and describes your rights. You can request a copy at any time using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

Online booking, intake forms, session notes, messaging, video sessions, and client records are handled through Practice Better, a secure, HIPAA-compliant practice management platform. When you book or complete forms, your information goes directly into Practice Better. It is not collected or stored by this website.

Please do not send health details through regular email, text, or social media. Use the secure messaging in your Practice Better client portal instead.

We only collect information you choose to share with us:

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
• Scheduling details: your appointments and how you prefer to meet (in person, by phone, or by video).
• Health information you provide as a client: health history, symptoms, goals, food and lifestyle habits, and lab results.
• Payment details needed to pay for sessions, labs, or supplements.

• To schedule and hold your appointments and follow ups.
• To provide personalized nutrition care, recommendations, and plans.
• To order and review functional labs you choose to complete.
• To answer your questions and send appointment reminders and secure messages between sessions.
• To process payments and keep the records we are required to keep.

Some parts of your care are handled by outside companies. Companies that handle your protected health information on our behalf sign a Business Associate Agreement, which requires them to protect it as HIPAA requires. We only share the minimum information each one needs:

• Practice Better, our secure booking, records, messaging, and video platform.
• Lab companies that process functional tests, such as hair tissue mineral analysis, bloodwork, and GI-MAP stool testing.
• Fullscript, our supplement dispensary, when you order supplements. If you order without being a client, Fullscript’s own privacy policy covers your account and orders.
• Payment processors that handle card payments. We do not store your full card number.

Your personal and health information is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their marketing purposes.

Under HIPAA, you have the right to:

• See and get a copy of your health records.
• Ask us to correct information you believe is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to limit how we use or share your information, and ask to be contacted in a certain way or at a certain place.
• Get a list of certain times we have shared your information.
• Get a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices.
• Be notified if your unsecured health information is ever involved in a breach.
• File a complaint with us, or with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, if you believe your privacy rights were violated. You will never be penalized for filing a complaint.

You can also opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

This website does not collect health information and does not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as your browser type and IP address) to keep the site running and secure, and our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address. The booking calendar on this site is provided by Practice Better and is covered by its security and privacy practices. If we add analytics in the future, this page will be updated.

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website. Care for minors is arranged with a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, with a new effective date.
